PLENAVE® refers to an easily dismantlable and fully recoverable industrial warehouse, whose fundamental building unit is the module. The structure of these modules is made up of frames constructed from cold-rolled galvanized steel profiles. The modules are shipped folded to the site, where they are unfolded with the help of a crane. The warehouse is closed at both open ends by the gables.
The structure of each module consists of two sturdy frames, positioned at both ends of the warehouse and separated by 2.23 meters for the PLENAVE® 7.3, PLENAVE® 10.4, and PLENAVE® 12.5 models, and 2.27 meters for the PLENAVE® 15.6, PLENAVE® 17.6, PLENAVE® 20.6, and PLENAVE® 24.7 models, which is the length of each module in each case. These frames are made from cold-formed “C” profiles of galvanized steel sheet. The connection of these profiles is made through brackets, which are made from steel sheet.
All the connections of the warehouse are made using screws. All of them, as well as the safety anchors, are of high resistance quality 8.8, with a minimum yield strength of 640 MPa. The PLENAVE® structure is calculated according to the standards requested by the client, with the most common being:
Technical Building Code (CTE) or Eurocode (EC)
The length of the warehouse will always be equal to the number of modules that form the warehouse, multiplied by the length of each module, which is 2.23 or 2.27 meters, plus 200 mm for the front gable and 200 mm for the rear gable. Therefore, the desired warehouse length can be obtained by assembling the necessary modules. All connections between modules, as well as all connections in the warehouse, are always screwed.
The roof cladding of the warehouse can be of two types. If a fully opaque roof is desired, it will be made of pre-coated galvanized steel sheet with a trapezoidal section. If a translucent roof is desired, the sheet will alternate with solid polycarbonate plates for the simple sheet cladding option, and 30 mm thick cellular polycarbonate plates for the insulated cladding option. The warehouse roof is a gable roof with a 10% slope.
The side façades of the warehouse are made of pre-coated galvanized steel sheet with a trapezoidal section. These sides are reinforced at the bottom by a galvanized steel profile with the same characteristics as the profiles used in the frames. The sheet is fixed to this profile and to the module structure profiles using screws.
The gables close the warehouse at both ends. There is the possibility of installing three types of gables: the blind gable, the door gable, and the door-window gable. The gables are attached to the warehouse on-site using special clips, and the sealing of the connection is ensured through gaskets.
The door of the “door gable” is a counterweight-type swing door with two manually opening leaves and an integrated pedestrian door. Its structure is made of steel profiles, covered with pre-coated galvanized steel sheet with a trapezoidal section, which is fixed to the structure with steel rivets.
Regarding licensing, PLENAVE® can be considered, depending on the municipality, as a MOVABLE PROPERTY according to Article 335 of the Civil Code, as the warehouses can be DISMANTLED and TRANSPORTED, being prefabricated buildings that leave the factory fully finished, and can be assembled and disassembled at any location.
Insulation is an optional feature of the warehouse. The warehouse can be delivered insulated or non-insulated. The insulation offered with the PLENAVE® is the so-called “in situ” sandwich, which consists of double pre-coated galvanized steel sheet with a trapezoidal section and interior thermal insulation made from 80 mm thick IBR. The insulation of the warehouse is done at the factory.
The warehouse is shipped with folded modules and gable sections separated on a truck to the warehouse installation site. The number of trucks required will depend on the warehouse length. The assembly is done with the help of a crane.
The dismantling of the warehouse is done by releasing the couplings that secure the articulation of the different modules, and they are folded onto the truck.
CUALIMETAL, S.A.U. will provide a detailed plan of minimum requirements for the foundation, although it is recommended to be a perfectly smooth concrete slab, on which the warehouse assembly will take place. The anchoring will be done at the time of warehouse installation.
